Privacy Notice – Extraordinary Islanders

Isle of Man Advertising & PR (IOMA), is running Extraordinary Islanders and is a Data Controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (Isle of Man) Order 2018. The contact details for IOMA are Isle of Man Advertising & PR, Quay House, South Quay, Douglas, IM1 5AR.

In addition to the information set out in the IOMA privacy notice, we may also collect the following information about you:

• Your email address

How we will use the information we collect about you

• To manage and process your nomination

In the event that you submit a winning entry we will use your data to:

• Get in touch for further information around your nomination and promote the positive story you shared about your nominee
• Assist the judges to produce a shortlist ahead of a public vote

How we will share the information we collect about you

• Your entry is submitted via a dedicated webpage and only IOMA and the judges will have access to the data received.

Protecting your information

IOMADS will:

• Keep your information safe and secure in compliance with its privacy policy
• Only use and disclose your information as detailed above, where necessary
• Only allow authorised staff to view your data
• Only hold your data on servers that are within the jurisdiction of the British Isles
• Retain the information for no longer than is necessary and your information will be permanently deleted once the timeframes set out below have been reached.

Your rights

You have a right to access your personal data to ensure that it is accurate, and to request that it is rectified, blocked, erased or destroyed if it is inaccurate.
