Santander International

Michel Roux Jr

Santander International showed its appreciation for the Isle of Man’s community support healthcare workers during COVID-19 with a healthy food gift delivered to their homes.

The bank donated more than 400 fruit and vegetable boxes for delivery to the Island’s community healthcare workers’ homes, recognising that the Island’s community support workers were not necessarily getting the chance to pick up donated gifts that were arriving at central point’s such as Nobles’ Hospital. Santander International worked quickly with Robinson’s and within a few days Healthcare workers were able to order their free food care box through a dedicated link on the Robinson’s website, choosing a vegetable, fruit, or everyday grocery package.

Santander International said that they were incredibly grateful for the work that the community healthcare workers did at the onset of COVID-19 and this seemed a practical and useful way to say thank you, taking a little pressure off them with the convenience of groceries delivered to their door.

The care boxes included a range of everyday food items, fresh fruit, or vegetables and salad, featuring fresh local Manx produce where possible. After choosing their package, healthcare workers were able to select a home delivery slot, then log in to secure their order without payment.

Santander International’s kind donation meant that during the first day of the programme, Robinson’s were able to deliver an amazing 67 boxes to the homes of the Island health care workers. Such a brilliant way to give them that extra little bit of precious time that would have been previously spent queuing in a socially distanced supermarket.

The team at Santander International really came up with a supportive way to say thank you, and wasn’t it absolutely needed and very well deserved!
